On other thing to try is fill the water tank and take a test run. Last are you within your tow limit weights and how are your shocks. I wonder if the installer properly torqued the hitch down and did a correct installation. If Tarply did it you might want to give them a call. Rota-flex lockout kit is required when using an ultimate 5th wheel connection with any rota-flex pin box to prevent damage to the hitch and/or tow vehicle. Has anyone experienced and increased amount of up and down movement while traveling with the Roto-flex pin box During a recent trip I had an issue that the trailer bounced an excessive amount to the point of the sliding door to the den came off the rail. ![]() ![]() If you need a dampened pin box with an Andersen, it's best to go with the MOR/ryde, Demco, etc. Andersen states that it is the only dampened pin box that is NOT approved for use with the Andersen Ultimate hitch systems. In addition any up and down movement (bucking) should be minimal as it locked in by the ball. If you 'lock out' the rotation action in a Roto-Flex, you defeat the purpose. If youre experiencing movement at the hitch then perhaps somethings isnt set correctly with your lockout. Our pin box is a basic one so nothing to lock out. With the Anderson hitch there is nothing to chuck as chucking is the movement of the pin back and forth in the hitch head, so something must be very wrong with the Anderson set up. We are using the rota-flex lockout kit but the truck feels like its jerking forward and backwards quite a bit.
